“A day at a time,” Vibhu had captioned the post, which he uploaded in mid-April. The video featured him addressing the camera regarding his fight against cancer. He told fans that a PET scan had indicated that his cancer had advanced from his liver to his lungs and spine.
“We began chemotherapy in January, and after four rounds, I had a scan. Unfortunately, we discovered that the treatment was not effective, and the cancer was spreading,” Vibhu stated. Laughing, Vibhu added that he was in the process of a new treatment and crossing his fingers.
“I would like to ask you to continue sending the love and best wishes because that is something we are greatly relying on at the moment,” the actor finished in the video message.

Vibhu’s death saddened his colleagues and fans but also raised awareness of the increasing threat of colon cancer among young adults.

Specialists point out that the disease is undetected in its early stage because of the nonspecific symptoms, resulting in late diagnosis. Specialists emphasize the awareness of early symptoms and suggest early screenings.
