Shocking Update: Assit Modi confirms about Daya bhabi’s return

Popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been sparking headlines amid reports that the makers have found a new actor to play the beloved character of Dayaben. Addressing the speculation, producer Asit Kumarr Modi has now clarified that while Dayaben will return soon, the final casting decision is yet to be made.

Since the show’s inception, actress Disha Vakani has portrayed the iconic role of Dayaben and won millions of hearts with her unique comic timing and signature dialogue delivery. However, she has been on a hiatus since 2017, leaving fans eagerly waiting for her return.

In a conversation with a news channel, Asit Kumarr Modi acknowledged the audience’s sentiments and confirmed that the character would make a comeback. “People have been eagerly waiting for Daya Bhabhi, and I will finalize her soon. People say that without Dayaben, they don’t enjoy the show as much, and I agree. We, as a team, are trying to fill Daya Bhabhi’s absence as much as we can. But she will return soon,” he assured.

The producer also shared that his wife, a big fan of the character, frequently asks him about Dayaben’s return. “She keeps asking me at home when Daya Bhabhi will be back. Just wait for some time, she will be back very soon. We all miss her a lot,” he added.

Meanwhile, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah continues to dominate the TRP charts despite running for over 17 years and crossing 4,500 episodes. Expressing his gratitude for the show’s success, Modi credited the viewers and his team for the achievement. He said, “Even without a generation leap, our show is still doing well. People watch it not just on TV but also on digital platforms like YouTube. Our focus has always been on delivering entertaining episodes rather than chasing TRP numbers.”

With Modi’s confirmation, fans can now look forward to the much-anticipated return of Dayaben, bringing back the signature charm and energy to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
